year round. Bright orange fruit.

Black Calabash (Amphitecna
latifolia)
Large, rich, green leaves and cascading growth habit, make this salt and
wind tolerant native a great barrier hedge or interesting character tree. It
will also tolerate dark shade as a middle canopy, under story tree. Its rich
foliage belies its tough, costal tolerance.

Black Ironwood (Krugiodendron ferreum)

A classic native hardwood dense glossy green foliage. Salt and wind
tolerant. Compact growth habit.

A small tree to 25'. A dense head of variable leathery leaves. A smooth gray
trunk and bright pink fruit makes this a great small tree for tough areas. High salt and wind

A slightly smaller relative of our native Clusia. This
tree is more compact, smaller leaved and a fantastic hedge to 15 ft. High salt
and wind tolerant.
Short Leaf Fig (Ficus citrifolia)
12' - 14' B & B
Also called the well behaved fig due to its lack of invasive surface roots.
Grows naturally in keys
hammocks where it behaves more like a Gumbo Limbo.
Some specimens will produce aerial roots and can become a miniature banyan type
tree hence the name "Wild Banyan".
Strangler
Fig (Ficus aurea)
Perhaps the largest of our
native canopy trees. An oasis for wildlife and the foundation for any large
scale ecosystem development. This is one tough customer for use where a vast,
massive canopy is desired and the foundation of any large scale ecosystem
development. Banyan-like aerial roots add to its artistic value over time.

Willow Bustic (Dipholis salicifolia)

Generally grows in a compact conical shape with striking willowy texture.
This is a very tough tree
for less than the ideal growing conditions. Achieves a height of 25' - 30'.
